OSRS Grand Exchange is a free, unofficial fan site for Old School RuneScape traders: live prices, our own price history, market movers, money makers and calculators. It carries no ads. We also make weekly data videos on [YouTube]().
Where the prices come from
Every five minutes we read the OSRS Wiki real-time prices API (latest instant-buy and instant-sell prices, and 5-minute, hourly and daily averages with volumes) and store it in our own database. Since 30 September 2026 that data comes from Jagex for every game client. Our charts, movers and margins are worked out from what we’ve stored, so pages never call the wiki directly.
Instant buy is the price of the most recent trade where someone bought straight away; instant sell the most recent where someone sold straight away. Margins are after the Grand Exchange tax.
Game rules we use
- GE tax: 2%, rounded down, capped at 5m per item, none under 50 gp, plus exempt items (source).
- High Level Alchemy: 55 Magic, 65 XP, 5 fire + 1 nature rune, about 1,200 casts an hour (source).
- Combat level and experience formulas (combat, experience).
